Privacy Policy

This Privacy Policy explains what information Calixo ("we", "us", "our") collects when you use calixo.cloud (the "Site"), and how that information is used. Calixo is a free calculator platform — we built it so that you can get an instant answer without creating an account, and that design choice shapes most of what's below: there is no sign-up, no server-side user database, and no personal information required to use any calculator.

Information we don't collect

We don't ask for your name, email address, or any account credentials, because there's no account system. We don't operate a backend database of user profiles. Calculator inputs you type (a loan amount, a date of birth, a password you're checking the strength of) are processed entirely in your browser and are never transmitted to or stored on our servers.

Information stored on your device

Some features use your browser's local storage to remember things between visits — this data stays on your device and is never sent to us. It includes:

• • Favorites and saved scenarios — calculators and input sets you've chosen to bookmark.
• • Recently viewed history — used to power the "Continue where you left off" and search "Recent" sections.
• • Usage stats — a simple count of distinct calculators visited per category, used only for the badges on your Library page.
• • Theme and cookie-consent preference — whether you prefer dark or light mode, and your choice in the cookie consent banner.

You can clear all of this at any time through your browser's site settings, or from the "Your Library" page on the Site. Clearing your browser data removes it completely, since nothing is mirrored on our servers.

Cookies and advertising

Calixo is free to use and may be supported by advertising served through Google AdSense. When ads are active, Google and its advertising partners may use cookies (including the DoubleClick DART cookie) to serve ads based on your visits to this and other websites. Google's use of advertising cookies enables it and its partners to serve ads based on your visit to this site and/or other sites on the Internet.

You can opt out of personalized advertising by visiting Google's Ads Settings, and you can learn more about how Google uses data from advertising partners at policies.google.com/technologies/ads. We show a cookie consent banner on your first visit so you can accept or decline non-essential (advertising) cookies before they're set — declining still lets you use every calculator normally.

Analytics

We use Google Analytics to understand aggregate traffic patterns — which pages are visited, how often, and general audience geography and device type. Google Analytics uses cookies and similar technology to collect this information; it does not tell us your name or any other information that directly identifies you. You can opt out of Google Analytics tracking across all websites using the Google Analytics Opt-out Browser Add-on, or block analytics cookies through your browser's cookie settings — see our Cookie Policy for how.

Third-party links

Some pages link to external resources (Google's own policy pages, for example). We aren't responsible for the privacy practices of sites we don't operate — please review their policies separately.

Children's privacy

Calixo is not directed at children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from children. Since the Site has no account system and no server-side data collection, we don't knowingly collect information from anyone, of any age.

Your rights

Because nothing personal is collected or stored on our servers, there's generally nothing for us to provide, correct, or delete on request under regulations like the GDPR or CCPA — your data stays under your own control, in your own browser, and you can clear it at any time. Changes to this policy

We may update this policy as the Site evolves — for example, if we add analytics or new third-party services in the future. Material changes will update the "Last updated" date above.
