Not professional advice

Calixo's calculators — including those covering finance, health, tax, engineering, construction, Medicare/insurance, and scam/fraud risk assessment — are provided for general informational and educational purposes only. They do not constitute financial, medical, legal, tax, engineering, insurance, law-enforcement, or any other form of professional advice. Always consult a qualified professional before making decisions based on a calculator's output — a financial advisor for money matters, a doctor for health matters, a licensed engineer for structural calculations, and so on.

Accuracy

We test our formulas carefully and verify non-trivial calculations against known reference values before publishing them. Even so, calculators can contain errors, formulas can be simplified in ways that don't cover every real-world edge case, and inputs can be mistyped. We do not guarantee that any result is error-free, complete, or suitable for your specific situation. Where a calculator's underlying assumptions or limitations are especially important, we call them out directly on that calculator's page — please read them.

Health and safety-related calculators

Calculators touching health, fitness or body metrics (BMI, calorie needs, heart rate zones, and similar) are general wellness estimates based on published population-level formulas — they are not diagnostic tools and cannot account for your individual medical history. Do not use them as a substitute for advice from a qualified healthcare provider.

Financial calculators

Financial calculators (loan payments, investment growth, tax estimates, and similar) rely on the assumptions you enter and standard formulas — they do not account for every fee, tax rule, or market condition that might apply to your actual situation, and past or projected performance shown by any calculator is not a guarantee of future results.

Medicare and insurance calculators

Medicare calculators (premium estimators, IRMAA, enrollment timelines, penalty calculators, plan comparisons, and similar) use published federal figures for the year stated on each calculator's page — premiums, income thresholds, deadlines and plan rules are set annually by CMS and change every year. These tools are not insurance advice, do not know your specific plan or coverage history, and cannot replace a decision made with a licensed insurance agent, your plan provider, a State Health Insurance Assistance Program (SHIP) counselor, or by calling 1-800-MEDICARE.

Scam and fraud-risk calculators

Scam and fraud-risk calculators (scam risk score, job offer, investment, website trust, romance, marketplace, senior fraud, identity theft, invoice fraud, and similar) are rule-based heuristic checklists scoring known tactic patterns — they are not a legal or definitive determination that any specific message, offer, person, or website is or isn't fraudulent, and they cannot investigate or verify any real person, company, or website on your behalf. Everything you enter runs locally in your browser and is never sent to a server or stored. Always independently verify anything involving money or personal information, and report suspected fraud to the platform or institution involved, to reportfraud.ftc.gov, or to ic3.gov for internet-based crime.
